School Curriculum

We give meaning to learning through a thematic curriculum.  We strongly believe that children learn best through engagement in real-life, practical experiences where links between learning can be made.

We place great value on high quality learning environments which include not just classrooms but our kitchens, drama & music studio, library and hall. Our orchard, science garden, environmental area and local area are an invaluable resource in providing outstanding learning environments.

We teach phonics using the 'Letters and Sounds' programme from the National Literacy Strategy.  Our teaching of reading utilises a range of reading schemes and real books.
